Disclaimer: I have no intentions (not at all!) to update my car by myself.

Maybe someone on this forum can ask the Mazda dealers in Germany and find out about the status for this update which according to the source has been revised and is now valid for all CX30`s manufactured from August 2022 in Japan - for European market.

I do apologize for bumping this thread but apparently this service recall is now valid for Europe.
Did anyone in Europe installed this patch?

    Thank You!

    Greetings to all of You.

In two weeks, my Mazda CX30 will be a one year old and until this Monday I have not had any kind of problems.

As you can guess, three days ago my battery died. No lights, no dashboard indicators, nothing at all.

I consulted the dealer - connecting/charging the battery with cables was the next logical step.

After 3 minutes all systems booted up by themselves with many alarms on the dashboard, but I could not start the engine.
In total, the battery was charged for more than 15 minutes. All dashboard errors (network, engine ignition, key not recognized) remained all the time and I could not start the engine.

I called a towing service that transported the vehicle to my dealer for a full inspection and (first regular oil change) service.

Next day I was informed that the battery was totally dead, temporary replacement was installed and I will get a new (original) batter in a few weeks - the warranty is valid for 12 months.

The serviceman was interested in what had happened.

I explained to him that although the initial answer "because of the cold (-8?!)" that I received as an explanation - I could not agree.

Тhe Internet is flooded with the same problem and I narrowed down the source of *my* problem and we had a nice discussion.

    - Leaving the FOB in the car for more than 15 minutes (something I did regularly) while washing the car, drains the battery very rapidly.
    - Active FOB key is not allowing the car to go in sleep mode and all systems remain ON.
    - Opening and closing the doors are adding to the battery drain problem.

-Cumulative awake time reaches 30 min.

I want to find the exact battery drain-scenarios, sleep modes as I prefer to feel comfortable while I drive/sitting/ waiting in my car.

    * I disabled FOB ("Hello I am here") constant signal transmission.
    * I disabled Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry. (Settings/vehicle settings/door locks/keyless auto-lock.)

    * Yes I will "manually" enter and start the car - until I learn the all circumstances that are draining my battery.

    1. I highly recommend this video - parasitic drain test on (Mazda 2021) car including testing to see/prove how the car reacts to the key Fob .
    2. Two Mazda internal PDF`s - 2022 - I don't know if they are still valid - 2022.

    a) PDF "Low Battery Risk. Start Vehicle to Charge 12V Battery" .

    b) I Highly recommend this PDF - DISCHARGED BATTERY AFTER VEHICLE IS PARKED FOR MORETHAN 8 HOURS

electrical components and the network awake cumulative time count begins by the customer doing any one of the

    following wake-up triggers:

    • Open any door(s)

    • Unlock doors

    • Open liftgate

    • Depress brake pedal

    • Push start/stop button

    • Other operations that wake-up the network

*I will update my post, with additional information, soon.

    Hello everyone.

Yakima (fixed-roof) crossbar mounting kit is not available in my country and ordering Mazda OEM will take more than a month.

    1. For CX30 (2022) fixed roofs, Yakima offers a "landing pad" solution, which I really like.

    2. For CX30 (2022) fixed roofs, Thule offers a "door-clamping-legs" solution, which I don't like.

This is the Thule "fit-kit" (for older CX5?) that my local shop has and a quick test (as alternative solution) shows that this can be mounted on the roof of my CX30. (We are trying "to recreate" Yakima solution.)

    - The obvious problem: we have no idea about their height and position compatibility.

So, I am trying to discover (if possible at all) the correct version number of Thule "fit-kit" for CX30 fixed mounting, as Yakima already offers.

    Thank you!

Hi all. I just received my new 2022 CX30 e-Skyactve X 186, AWD with MT.

    My mazda app:
    - oil-change after 20000 km.

    My Mazda dealer:

    - "No need to drive carefully for 1000 kilometers to spare the engine. Drive freely"
    - "Oil change - once per year or after 8K<-->10K km;"

    - He didn't mention anything about the "first 1000 km service check-up" which I find strange, but I will ask again, next week.-

I need to clarify a few things.

I always had my first oil change after 3000 km.

Did you had any type of (visual, e-diagnostic, etc) 1000 km first and *mandatory* service check-up by your Mazda dealer in your respected European countries?

When did you do your first oil change and should I change my plans?

    Is this information correct?

    2022 CX30 SKYACTIVE -X 186 Mazda oil-filter part number: PY8W-14-302

    2022 CX30 SKYACTIVE -X 186 Mazda Supra-X engine oil 0W-2

Thanks again for your detailed explanations.
My CX-30 AWD will arrive with rims and summer tires size - 215/55 R18.

    I will use Michelin
CrossClimate 2 for C-30 AWD - model 2022 . I can see the features (load, speed, etc) but I cant identify which one is better.

    1. 215/55 R18 95H TL CROSSCLIMATE 2 MI

    2. 215/55 R18 99V XL TL CROSSCLIMATE 2 MI

Also, can I (should I) play with larger width or height values?

    Thanks!

Excellent database with very detailed technical specifications.
I appreciate this very much, thank you!

Regarding your all-weather tires (Michelin Cross climate) on the original Mazda 18 inch rims.
Do you use Michelin Cross Climate setup for the entire year?
Could you share your experience and tire (MCC1 or latest MCC2?) model?

I live in a region with average temperature from -5C in January to 35C in July. Mostly (95%) urban driving, very little dirt-road and some snow, nothing extreme.

    Thanks again!

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me.
    My location: South-Eastern Europe.
Car ordered: september: 2022. ETA and delivery: 10 January, 2023
My problem: rims for >>AWD<< Mazda CX-30 ( X186 MT GTPLUS LU)

I will need additional set of new Mazda rims for my winter tyres.
My Mazda dealership offered me three types of Mazda 16' rims.

All models 215/65/ 16' with sensors for 1370 EUR. (rims only - no tyres)

    pasted-from-clipboard.png

I was about to order when I found out on other forums that 16` rims are no longer (since 2022) supported or available for AWD CX-30 models. (Something about beefed calipers and breaking disk distance.)

I communicated this information with my Mazda dealership. They checked and confirmed back to me that 16' rims for AWD CX-30 are no longer supported or available. For FWD CX-30, 16' rims are normally supported and available. They apologized and commented that they had no idea about this information.

Today I received updated offer for Mazda 17' rims, with a note: "no limitation mark for AWD" .
215/60/17 ' with sensors for 1650 EUR. Piano black or silver.

I have no idea how to proceed. I have no idea if those 17' Mazda rims are 2022 approved or their catalog or system is not updated or whatever. I have No idea about the offsets or any other specification. Also If I should be worried at all.

    My questions?

If somehow I decide to get those 17' (for 1650eur!) are they OK per latest production specifications?
Also whats the point? Can I (or should I) use my original 18' rims and change my summer tyres with winter tyres, only.

    All suggestions are welcomed.
    Thank you!
